What do Tim Cook, Rick Perry, Bill Ackman, John Roberts and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have in common? Aside from the obvious — they’re all White dudes with US passports in tax brackets that require a small army of accountants — not much. But there is one thing, I noticed, they all share: a desire to leave their fingerprints on something, anything, that will outlast them. That could be a company, a data center, a hedge fund, a legal doctrine or a French fry recipe.
