Your Roof Is Ground Zero of the Insurance Crisis

Trillions of dollars in housing wealth is on the line.

A house gives its owner at least two big things: wealth and the ability to sleep indoors. A roof makes both possible. When the roof goes, the home’s value evaporates and it becomes a campsite with walls.

It is thus alarming that America’s roofs face a triple threat from a hotter, more dangerous climate, soaring insurance premiums and a political regime doing everything it can to make both problems worse. Trillions of dollars in housing wealth is on the line.
