Nigel Farage used to talk of his love for PFLs: proper effing lunches, where heavy food and multiple bottles of wine could keep the meal going till the evening. According to data compiled by our reporters, Reform has recently received some PFDs: proper effing donations, with the party raking in more than any other in the UK in the third quarter.

Between July and September, Reform netted donations of £10.3 million – surpassing the £4.7 million given to the Tories and £2.2 million to Labour. This was largely due to a record £9 million from crypto investor Christopher Harborne, as well as cash from other high-profile business people, showing that the possibility of a Reform government is being taken seriously.
