President Trump’s tariffs are now in place and, outside the confines of the White House and Mar-a-Lago, few people are cheering. But they could’ve been even higher if trade adviser Peter Navarro had had his way. Trump told a fundraising gala for House Republicans that the US was earning "$2 billion a day" and cast his sweeping levies as "legendary."
