Hindenburg Research has accused the chair of India’s market regulator of conflicts of interest, which it said prevented a thorough examination of manipulation and fraud claims at the Adani Group. The allegations have been strongly denied. Hindenburg, in a report published Saturday, said Madhabi Puri Buch and her husband, Dhaval Buch, invested in offshore entities that were allegedly part of a fund structure in which Vinod Adani — the brother of billionaire Gautam Adani — also had investments.
