German Bank Brawo Plans to Seek Support From Industry Fund

Volksbank Brawo, a small German cooperative bank, said it plans to apply for support from the industry’s joint insurance fund as it faces writedown risks.

The bank is also suspending Chief Executive Officer Jürgen Brinkmann, according to a statement on Tuesday. Lars Berkefeld will serve as CEO on an interim basis.
