European Corn Hits Two-Year High as Input Cost Concerns Mount

European corn hit a fresh two-year high as weather concerns and higher farm input costs due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz threaten to limit supply outside the US.

Corn futures in Paris rose as much as 1.2% on Tuesday, hitting their highest since June 2024. Corn prices in Chicago initially extended Monday’s 1.2% advance to reach the highest intraday level since April 2025, before edging lower.
