Morgan Stanley’s Simkowitz Says Dealmaking Pipeline Is Strong
Companies are still seeking to strike deals as pent-up demand from previous years, a widespread focus on gaining scale, and a conducive regulatory environment fuel mergers and acquisitions, according to Morgan Stanley Co-President Dan Simkowitz.
“Backlogs are still very strong,” Simkowitz, who leads Morgan Stanley’s institutional securities group, said in an interview with Bloomberg Television on Monday at the Milken Institute Global Conference. “The backdrop around dealmaking is still pretty solid.”
