Fuel retailers in the UK broadly kept their margins unchanged during the initial shock from the Iran war, the UK’s antitrust watchdog said, even while it declared that firms were continuing to benefit from a lack of competition in the sector.

The Competition and Markets Authority, which stepped up Bloomberg Terminalmonitoring of profits from fuel sales in wake of the war in Iran, said on Friday it will further investigate instances of individual retailer margins that increased between February and March.
