McKinsey Plans to Use AI Agents to Help Choose Client Teams
The move marks the firm’s latest step to adopt artificial intelligence across its operations.

The management consulting firm will use agents to supplement the work of its so-called professional development employees, who have matched consultants to clients behind the scenes for decades. As McKinsey has grown to almost 40,000 employees, that process has become more complex, and artificial intelligence will help ensure “we get the best people in the right situations,” said Wendy Miller, chief people officer for North America.
