Haiti’s rum giant and two of the nation’s largest bottlers warned that surging gang violence around their factories is threatening thousands of jobs.

Rhum Barbancourt, local Coca-Cola bottler Couronne and water and soft-drink maker Sejourne SA said in a joint statement Wednesday that their industrial facilities near the international airport in the capital Port-au-Prince had experienced “extreme violence” in recent days.
