FEMA Reinstates Staff Who Criticized Trump Cuts to Agency
The Federal Emergency Management Agency this week told more than a dozen staffers to return to work after placing them on administrative leave eight months ago for signing an open letter criticizing the Trump administration’s cuts to disaster response, according to people familiar with the decision.
FEMA emailed workers Wednesday notifying them that an investigation into the matter “had been closed” and that they were “being returned to a full-time duty status,” according to the memo seen by Bloomberg News.
