UN Must Do Less With Less, Says Candidate to Become Next Leader

The United Nations must deal with its shrinking budget and narrow the scope of its mission, a leading contender for the UN secretary general job said as the US has yet to back a candidate.

“I think we have to do less with less,” Rebeca Grynspan, a senior UN official and a former politician from Costa Rica, said in an interview with reporters in Paris on the sidelines of a campaign stop.
