Slovenia’s nationalist leader and ally of US President Donald Trump inched closer to his political comeback after a vote showed he now commands a majority in parliament.

A group of 49 lawmakers rallied behind Janez Jansa’s proposal to cut the number of ministries to 14 from 19 on Wednesday, signaling he and not election winner Robert Golob is better placed to build a ruling coalition.
