Poland Sees Rising Cyberattacks With Spread of Advanced AI Tools

Poland, which is battling a rising number of cyberattacks from Russia, expects online threats to intensify as more advanced artificial intelligence tools spread, according to a senior government official.

The government in Warsaw, one of the most outspoken critics of the Kremlin’s territorial ambitions, has seen a sharp increase in online attacks following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Pawel Olszewski, Poland’s deputy digitalization minister, told Bloomberg in an interview in Warsaw. The bulk of such attacks were sourced from Russia, he said.
