Kimberly-Clark Sees $170 Million Hit With Oil at $100 a Barrel
Kimberly-Clark Corp. became the latest US company to call out the potential for a significant cost impact if oil prices stay about $100 per barrel.
The company, which sells Huggies diaper and Kleenex tissue brands, expects an additional $150 million to $170 million of input expenses if the commodity stays at that level in through the second half of the year, it said during a call with analysts. The firm is not yet contemplating those incremental costs in its outlook, which calls for double-digit earnings growth.
