Claire’s Accessories has stopped trading in the UK and Ireland, in the latest blow to the British retail industry.

The retailer, known for ear piercings and selling accessories for children and teenagers, will shutter all 154 stores and around 1,300 employees will be made redundant, according to a spokesperson for administrator Kroll. Concession outlets continue to operate in more than 350 locations.
