Europe Power Prices Crash to Record Lows on Strong Solar Output

German power prices plunged to record lows on Sunday as solar generation surged and mild weather curbed weekend demand.

The hourly price from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. fell to -€413.77 (-$485.77) per megawatt-hour on the Epex Spot SE exchange. In neighboring France, they dropped as low as -€412.55 for the same period.
