US Companies Had 815 Classified Data Violations, GAO Finds

The Pentagon agency tasked with protecting classified information released to US federal contractors found more than 800 security violations and more than 1,000 open security vulnerabilities last fiscal year, according to the Government Accountability Office.

The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency is responsible for ensuring that contractors properly access and store classified content for an estimated 90% to 95% of US classified contracts across the federal government.
