UK’s Assisted Dying Bill Fails After Parliamentary Time Runs Out

The legislation passed the House of Commons in June, before being saddled with more than 1,000 proposed amendments in the the House of Lords. Only seven of the bill’s 59 clauses have been discussed in almost 120 hours of debate, according to a letter written by peers who support it.
