Nvidia Breakout Sends Chip Giant to First Record Since October
Nvidia Corp. shares rose to their first record in months on Friday, the latest example of improving momentum at the leader in artificial intelligence chips.
Shares gained 4.3% to $208.26 amid a broad semiconductor rally, taking out a record that had stood since October. The recent gains have managed to break the stock out of a range it has been trading in for the better part of a year. At a low just four weeks ago, Nvidia had fallen 20% from its Oct. 29 closing peak.
