Kazimir Says Slight ECB Rate Increase May Be Needed on War
European Central Bank Governing Council member Peter Kazimir suggested the Iran war might necessitate an eventual interest-rate hike.
“While just a few months ago there was talk of a possible cut, today we discuss the possibility that a slight increase might be necessary,” the Slovak central bank chief said, without specifying when such a move could happen. “Our forecast scenarios take this development into account as well.”
