US Treasuries fell as investor jitters multiplied around the potential for successful peace negotiations between Iranian and US officials, sending oil prices higher.

The declines pushed the yield on 10-year notes up as much as five basis points to 4.35% on Thursday, before the move pared to 4.32%. Across financial markets, concern was mounting that an escalation of war in the Middle East would keep the Strait of Hormuz closed for longer, worsening energy disruptions.
