But building a podcast empire is harder than it sounds. Most networks anchored by one big star have yet to find their next mega hit, though many have tried, including the guys at SmartLess, Dax Shepard, the Crooked Media founders, John Allen (known as MrBallen) and yes, even Alex Cooper.
