Philip Morris Smoke-Free Shift Gathers Pace as Profit Rises

Philip Morris International Inc.’s profit rose more than expected in the first quarter on sales of smoke-free products including heated tobacco and nicotine pouches.

The seller of Marlboro cigarettes outside the US reported adjusted diluted earnings per share of $1.96 in the first quarter, ahead of analyst estimates.
