Germany expects a final decision this week on the future of a prestigious joint fighter jet project with France.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius told reporters in Berlin that the decision on the Future Combat Air System rests with Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French President Emmanuel Macron.
