Nigeria’s president appointed Taiwo Oyedele, the head of the nation’s tax reform committee, as the new finance minister in a cabinet reshuffle.

Oyedele, who was appointed as deputy finance minister last month, replaces Wale Edun with immediate effect, the presidency said in a statement on Tuesday. The president also named Muutaqha Rabe Darma as the new housing and urban development minister, replacing Ahmed Musa Dangiwa.
