European Stocks Drop on Geopolitical Angst; Royal Unibrew Sinks

European stocks fell on Tuesday as investors weighed a flurry of earnings and tracked developments in the Middle East conflict ahead of Wednesday’s ceasefire deadline.

The Stoxx Europe 600 Index fell 0.9%, with losses deepening into the afternoon. Healthcare led declines, down 2%, while food, beverage and tobacco, and industrials, also underperformed. Energy, which lagged for much of the session, rose 0.4%, tracking Brent crude’s jump to about $98 a barrel, from roughly $86 on Friday.
