EQT Raises Record $15.6 Billion for Asia Private Equity Fund

EQT AB raised $15.6 billion for its latest private equity Asia fund, the largest pool of capital ever assembled for the region, as global investors look beyond the US amid elevated uncertainty.

While the US remains the largest source of capital by dollar commitments, with a roughly 30% share, allocations from Asia and Europe grew faster in relative terms. The three regions accounted for 80% of the fund, with the remainder coming from the Middle East and private wealth channels, Asia Chairman Jean Salata said in an interview.
