US Would Likely Help UAE Financially If Needed, Hassett Says

The US is willing to assist the United Arab Emirates in case the war in Iran worsens its economic outlook, though a currency-swap line most likely won’t be necessary, President Donald Trump’s top economic adviser said.

National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett was asked Monday about a Wall Street Journal report about talks between the UAE central bank governor and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent about financial lifelines, including a currency swap.
