Reliance Consultant Arrested in India Drone Bribery Probe

India’s federal investigative agency said it has arrested a person working for Reliance Industries Ltd. and a senior official at the aviation regulator as part of an ongoing bribery probe.

Bharat Mathur, a senior vice president at Reliance, and Mudavath Devula, deputy director general at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, were arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation over a case related to permission for import of drones, according to the First Information Report, or FIR, on the agency’s website.
