Cevdet Akcay, who helped overhaul Turkey’s monetary policy to bring down prices and revive investor interest, stepped down as one of the central bank’s deputy governors.

Akcay turned 65 this month, the age at which public employees in Turkey are required to retire from civil service. He left his role on Friday, according to people familiar with the matter, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss private matters. The central bank declined to comment.
