Russia Warns of Bilateral Relations With Japan at All-Time Low

Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Japanese ambassador to Moscow Akira Muto to lodge a protest over an investment agreement between Japan’s Terra Drone and a Ukrainian developer of unmanned aerial vehicles, according to a statement from the ministry.

Muto was told the step was “overtly hostile” because of Ukrainian drone use against Russia, and he was warned that Russia-Japan relations had reached an all-time low because of an “unfriendly policy towards Russia under the new cabinet of Sanae Takaichi,” the statement, dated Wednesday, said.
