Kennedy Center Sues Musician Who Canceled Over Trump Rename
The Kennedy Center is suing jazz musician Chuck Redd for canceling a Christmas Eve show over the board’s Dec. 18 vote to add President Donald Trump’s name to the performing arts venue.
The center sued Redd Thursday in D.C. Superior Court, claiming he broke his performance contract with his last-minute cancellation and public statements saying he did so because of the name change.
