The US strategy of pressuring Ukraine in peace talks is failing, the European Union’s top diplomat said, arguing that President Donald Trump should instead lean on Russia.

“Their approach has been to put pressure on on the victim, on Ukraine,” EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas told Bloomberg TV in an interview. “It hasn’t really delivered in one year results so maybe we should focus now on the other side.”
