Akzo Nobel NV sees little earnings improvement this year as the Dutch paint maker contends with muted demand from customers in North America and other markets.

The Amsterdam-based firm expects adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of at least €1.47 billion ($1.74 billion), it said Tuesday. That’s barely above last year’s result and slightly below analyst expectations.
