Pakistan Says It Won’t Play India in T20 Cricket World Cup
Pakistan said it will not play India in this month’s T20 Cricket World Cup, as political tensions in South Asia spill over into the sporting arena.
“The Pakistan cricket team shall not take the field in the match scheduled on 15th February 2026 against India,” the government in Islamabad said in a statement posted on X on Sunday. The statement did not elaborate on the reasons for the boycott, but said that the team will be allowed to play other nations.
