Colgate’s Sales Growth Beats Estimates on Latam Rebound

Colgate-Palmolive Co. posted stronger-than-expected sales growth in the fourth quarter thanks to a rebound in Latin America after it reformulated a new toothpaste flavor following adverse reactions in the region.

Organic sales growth rose 2.2% for the quarter, beating the average analyst estimate of 1.4%. The company sees organic sales for the year growing 1% to 4%, in line with the average analyst estimate of 2.6%.
