Pinterest to Cut ‘Less Than 15%’ of Staff Amid AI Push
Pinterest Inc. said it plans to cut “less than 15%” of its workforce and reduce office space as it shifts resources toward investing in artificial intelligence.
The search and discovery platform anticipates related pretax charges of $35 million to $45 million, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Pinterest expects to complete the restructuring plan near the end of its third quarter ending Sept. 30, 2026. It had 5,205 employees as of Sept. 30, according to an earlier regulatory filing, which would suggest that the latest round of cuts affected less than 780 workers.
