Partial Uganda Vote Tally Points to Landslide Win for Museveni

Ugandan leader Yoweri Museveni held a commanding lead in the East African nation’s presidential elections, partial vote tallies showed, placing him on course to win a seventh term.

The incumbent garnered 75% of the ballots counted from nearly 60% of polling stations and his main challenger, Bobi Wine about 21%, Simon Byabakama, the chairman of the Electoral Commission, told a briefing in the capital, Kampala, on Friday.
