Volvo Car Brings Back Ex-Polestar CEO Ingenlath as Design Chief

Volvo Car AB is bringing back former Polestar boss Thomas Ingenlath to oversee its vehicle design as the automaker bolsters its top management ranks.

Ingenlath, 61, will lead Volvo’s global design organization effective Feb. 1, the Swedish-origin manufacturer said Wednesday. He was instrumental in shaping car designs first at Volvo and then sister brand Polestar, and has worked on key models including the XC90 sport utility vehicle, one of the company’s first under Chinese ownership. He previously worked at Volkswagen AG.
