Floods Sweep Washington State as Governor Declares Emergency

Rivers across the Pacific Northwest were on the rise again Wednesday as heavy rain pummeled a region that was already seeing major flooding earlier this week.

Washington Governor Bob Ferguson declared a statewide emergency and urged the Trump administration to issue a federal emergency declaration to unlock funds he said were necessary to “help individuals save their homes and their property.”
