Hans-Joerg Rudloff, a giant figure in European finance whose cunning and aggressiveness transformed the 1980s Eurobond market, has died. He was 85.

His death was announced by Marcuard Heritage and Atlantis Marcuard, Swiss wealth management companies he helped found. He died on Dec. 1, according to the statement by Atlantis Marcuard, where his son, Philippe, is chief executive officer.
