Ghana’s Slowing Inflation Stokes Bets for Another Rate Cut
Ghana’s inflation rate declined for the 11th straight month to the lowest level in almost seven years, boosting expectations the central bank will continue cutting interest rates in 2026.
Annual inflation decelerated to 6.3% in November — the lowest since February 2019 — from 8% in the previous month, Government Statistician Alhassan Iddrisu told reporters on Wednesday in the capital, Accra. He said food disinflation was a key factor driving the decline.
