S&P 500 Snaps Four-Day Losing Streak Ahead of Nvidia Results

US stocks advanced on Wednesday, halting their longest slump since August, as AI bellwether Nvidia Corp. rose before it reports earnings after the close.

The S&P 500 Index gained 0.4%, after climbing as much as 1.1% earlier. The benchmark ended a four-day slide that pushed it nearly 4% below its October peak. The Nasdaq 100 Index climbed 0.6%, with a basket tracking the Magnificent Seven stocks climbing almost 1%. Nvidia — the most influential stock on Wall Street — advanced nearly 3%, leaving shares of the AI darling down almost 8% this month.
