Namibia Central Bank Governor !Gawaxab to Step Down End of 2025

Namibia’s central bank said Governor Johannes !Gawaxab will step down at the end of December after more than five years at the helm.

Appointed in June 2020, !Gawaxab steered the central bank through the pandemic, global economic volatility, domestic reforms, and a shifting financial sector, the Bank of Namibia said Wednesday, without naming a successor.
