Trump Holds ‘Candid’ Phone Call With New Japan PM Takaichi

US President Donald Trump and Japan’s new Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi held a phone call on Saturday in which he congratulated the premier on her appointment last week.

Takaichi said the pair had a “good and candid” conversation and that she appreciated his congratulatory message.
