South Africa Books ‘Big Wins’ on Lower Inflation, Kganyago says
South African Reserve Bank Governor Lesetja Kganyago said there’s no disagreement with the National Treasury over his decision to anchor inflation at the bottom of the bank’s 3% to 6% target range, while conceding the announcement could have been handled better.
“Communication was not what it was supposed to be, to be honest,” he told a parliamentary hearing on Thursday. “There isn’t a disagreement about the lowering of the target.”
