Drone Wall Should Augment Wider Air Defenses, Kongsberg CEO Says

Europe must pursue a joint and integrated approach in its defense from hostile drones rather than building separate air shields for different threats, the head of Norwegian arms manufacturer Kongsberg Gruppen ASA said.

A wave of incursions into NATO airspace by Russian aircraft and the sightings of large, professional-grade drones around several Danish airports and military facilities last month has lent an urgency to talks by European leaders in Copenhagen this week on how to close gaps in the continent’s defense by 2030.
