Munich’s Oktoberfest, Germany’s largest annual fair, will reopen on Wednesday evening after a bomb threat triggered a security scare that required a thorough search of the grounds and prompted the deployment of more than 500 emergency personnel.

Authorities in the Bavarian capital uncovered the threat apparently targeting the Theresienwiese location after officers were called to a burning house early Wednesday, according to a police statement.
